No. 807 – Style the Stylist

Style does not happen over night and since I am exposed to beautiful garments daily it’s tempting not to lose sight of my own style. I know now what fits me and why, same the other way round. Experiments are always welcome and I am open to try on a lot of things – and in the end it has to represent ME and I have to feel good. Today I’d like to show you some of the styles I wear. This belted black silk dress is a beautiful and versatile option and can be dressed up and down. I chose a more sporty look and exchanged the original black belt with a cognac color one. A belted dress is perfect for an hourglass figure. It’s important to emphasize the waist line to keep the proportions in balance. If you have an hourglass figure like me, avoid boxy clothing. It will make you look frumpy and heavy. I matched the dress with knee-high wedge boots in cognac. I love wearing boots with almost anything. A wedge heel is very comfortable and I can walk miles in them, seriously! The caramel color leather jacket is one of my staple items for fall. It does not only keep me warm, the leather also makes me feel secure and appropriatley dressed for many occasions. Jewelry in fuchsia and an interesting clutch complete the look. I’d wear this outfit to a dinner date with my man or an evening out with friends.
